Episode Two: Representation and Choosing Happiness

After getting to know me a bit in the first episode of the podcast, I wanted to talk about representation in the media and how much the lack of it affected my childhood. Growing up ambiguously brown led to both funny and heartbreaking situations and I hope that some of you out there can relate to being confused by the races you saw represented on TV growing up. Let me know if you related to characters that looked like you, but were not the same race in the comments!

We also talked about what it means to be happy as a part of National Minority Health Month. This is something that I struggle with everyday and I hope that the strategies I talk about it the podcast help you in your daily lives as well if you’re struggling with depression or anxiety.

Let me know what you think about the episode I’ve linked below and I’ll be back next Monday with another episode~
